NTECH Care Plan Agreement
This agreement covers NTECH's ongoing monthly services:
- care plans (hosting, maintenance and support)
- website subscriptions
- build payment plans
- domains and email
- billing, late payment, cancellation and handover
It forms part of the NTECH Terms of Service, and the SLA sets the service levels. Current prices are shown in the client portal. The prices below are the launch prices at the date of this version.
1. Care plans
A care plan is required for any website hosted by NTECH.

1.1 Included minutes:
- Only rate-card and small content work (text, images, prices, posts) can use them.
- They are used in 15-minute blocks, and the portal shows how many are left.
- Unused minutes do not roll over.
- New pages, new features and redesigns are quoted separately.
1.2 Changing plans:
- Upgrades apply from the next billing date, or immediately at a pro-rata price if you ask.
- Downgrades apply from the next billing date.
1.3 Fair use: hosting is for normal business websites.
- Mailboxes: 5 included; extra mailboxes are R20 per mailbox per month.
- Very large file storage, streaming video, bulk email sending or unusually high traffic may need a quote for a higher-capacity plan. We'll discuss it with you first.
2. Billing
2.1 Monthly plans:
- Billed in advance on the 1st of each month.
- Your first month is charged pro-rata from your go-live date.
2.2 Annual plans:
- Billed in advance for 12 months, starting from your go-live date.
- If you cancel an annual plan early, the unused months are not refunded, except where the CPA requires it (clause 7.3). The plan simply isn't renewed.
2.3 Invoices are issued in the client portal and by email. They are due within 7 days.
3. Website subscriptions
A website subscription gives you a website without the build price up front. You pay a setup fee, then one monthly amount that covers your care plan and pays off part of the website each month. There is no fixed term and no buy-out: once the website is paid off, it is yours.

3.1 Paying off the website. Each month, the part of your payment above the care plan price goes towards the build price. The last payment covers only what is left, so you never pay more than the build price. The client portal shows how much is paid and how many payments are left. There is no interest and no charge for paying this way.
3.2 Ownership. Until the website is paid off, NTECH owns it and you hold a licence to use it — on your domain, with your content, for your business — for as long as your subscription is paid up (Terms clause 7.3). You own your own content at all times. When the build price has been paid in full, the website becomes yours, exactly as if you had paid for it up front (Terms clause 7.2). There is nothing extra to pay.
3.3 After it is paid off — your monthly amount drops. From the next billing date you pay only the care plan your subscription included (R349 on Starter, R699 on Business), with that plan's included change time and response times. This happens automatically; you do not have to ask. You can cancel the care plan like any other (clause 7).
3.4 Leaving before it is paid off. Give 1 calendar month's written notice, using the cancellation form in your client portal (natural persons: at least 20 business days).
- You pay what is left of the build price, on your final invoice. Once it is paid, the website is yours to keep, and we hand over a full copy so you can move it to another host.
- There is no other cancellation fee.
- Example: a Starter subscription cancelled after 6 monthly payments: R2,950 − R499 − (6 × R150) = R1,551.
3.5 A website subscription includes one redesign or restructure only if your Proposal says so. Other changes follow your care plan and the rate card.
3.6 Price changes for subscriptions follow clause 9, but the build price and the monthly amount you started with do not change while you are paying off your website.
4. Build payment plans
4.1 Instalments: a build can be paid in 3 instalments:
- one third before work starts
- one third at month 2 (the website goes live after this payment)
- one third at month 3
4.2 Missed instalments: if an instalment is more than 14 days late, we may:
- pause the work, or
- suspend the live website under clause 6
until it is paid. Ownership passes only after the final instalment.
5. Domains and email
5.1 Domains — the first R200 a year is included.
- Registered in your business's name and managed by NTECH.
- While you are on a care plan or website subscription, the first R200 a year of registering and renewing one
domain is included in your monthly amount. That covers a standard
.co.zain full, so you never receive a domain invoice for it. - Domain prices vary a lot by name and ending. If yours costs more than R200 a year (many
.comdomains do), you pay only the difference, at the price the registrar charges NTECH, as a separate line on your invoice. Without a care plan, the domain is billed at its full cost. - We tell you the price and get your approval before registering a domain.
- We track the expiry date. Where there is something to pay, we invoice the renewal about 30 days before it is due, and renew once that invoice is paid.
5.2 If a renewal invoice is not paid, we remind you, but we cannot renew a domain we have not been paid for. A domain that expires takes the website and email offline with it, and some cannot be recovered. If your plan ends, the domain stays yours — it is registered in your name, not ours. Renewals after that are your responsibility, and we will hand over everything needed to move it.
5.3 Email:
- Mailboxes on our hosting are included as stated in your plan.
- They are suitable for normal business email. We recommend Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for heavy email use.
- We can set these up for R450 once-off, with licences billed by Google or Microsoft directly to you.
6. Late payment and suspension
NTECH does not charge interest, penalties or late fees. Ever. What you owe never grows. If an invoice stays unpaid, the service pauses until it is settled — that is the whole remedy.

6.1 Reconnection: R150, once the arrears are paid — this covers the work of restoring the site, and is not a charge on the money that was owed. Reconnection happens within 1 business day of payment reflecting.
6.2 Suspended time does not count towards uptime (see the SLA). Monthly fees continue to accrue during suspension.
6.3 If you are struggling to pay, contact us before the due date. We would rather agree a short payment arrangement than suspend a site.
7. Cancellation of care plans
7.1 Monthly care plans have no fixed term. Cancel with 1 calendar month's written notice, using the cancellation form in your client portal (or by email to info@ntech.website if you prefer). The form records the date, so both of us know exactly when the notice period started and when the plan ends.
7.2 What cancellation means:
- If NTECH hosts your site, cancelling your care plan also ends hosting on the cancellation date.
- To keep your website, you must move it to another host before that date.
- We'll provide the export (clause 8).
7.3 Natural persons (CPA): if you contract as a natural person, you may cancel any fixed-term agreement on 20 business days' written notice, subject only to a reasonable cancellation fee (clause 3.4 for subscriptions). For annual care plans, the reasonable fee is the difference between what you paid and the monthly price for the months you used.
8. Handover when you leave
8.1 Export: if your account is fully paid, within 5 business days of your request we provide:
- (a) a full backup of your website (files + database), in a standard format
- (b) your domain transfer code (EPP key), and help moving the domain
- (c) an export of your mailboxes, on request (free once, as part of handover)
8.2 Hands-on migration help: if you'd like us to help move your site to the new host, that's billed at the rate card (from R690).
8.3 Deletion: after the service ends, we keep backups for 30 days in case you need anything. Then your website data, including personal information collected through it, is deleted from our servers and backups (POPIA).
9. Changes to plans and prices
- We may change plan features or prices with at least 30 days' written notice.
- Subscription amounts won't increase while a website is being paid off (clause 3.6).
- If you don't accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect without any cancellation fee for that change.
